Karachi — BYD which is Chinese electric vehicle giant has announced that it will launch its first locally assembled vehicle in Pakistan by mid-2026 (July–August). This development comes after the construction of a state-of-the-art plant near Karachi aimed at transitioning the Pakistani market toward electric mobility.
The goal of company is not only to cater to Pakistan but also to export to other right-hand drive (RHD) markets such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa provided cost and shipment logistics remain feasible.
