As soon as the trailer of Diljit Dosanjh’s new Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 dropped on June 22, 2025, it caused a storm on social media. But what shocked everyone the most was the appearance of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film.
Fans were not only happy but also surprised that a Pakistani artist has been included in such a central role in the Indian film in the atmosphere of Pakistan-India tension and sanctions.
Speculations Confirmed, Hania Aamir is in Sardaar Ji 3
Rumours had been circulating for a while that Hania Aamir was set to debut in an Indian film—especially after Diljit Dosanjh invited her on stage at his London concert. Although she was missing from the initial posters and there were even reports claiming she had been dropped from the film, the trailer has now put all doubts to rest.
Hania’s Entry Overshadows Neeru Bajwa’s Charm
Although Neeru Bajwa’s presence was prominent in the film’s teaser and promos, Hania Aamir’s glimpse in the trailer attracted all the attention. Not only did she appear to speak dialogues in the Punjabi language, but the romantic scenes with Diljit and the charming style in the saree made the fans crazy.
Overseas Release Only, Indian Industry Pushback Begins
Sardaar Ji 3 will not be released in India. Instead, it’s set for an overseas cinema release on June 27, 2025. This decision clearly reflects the ongoing ban on Pakistani artists in India.

It’s worth noting that Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari had earlier threatened to oust Diljit Dosanjh from the industry if he continued working with Pakistani artists.
Horror-Comedy with a Twist
Sardaar Ji 3 is the third installment in the popular Sardaar Ji franchise, which began in 2015. Directed by Amar Hundal, the film is a horror-comedy in which Diljit plays a character who specializes in capturing ghosts.
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and is presented in association with Gulshan Kumar and T-Series.
Hania’s Debut Wins Hearts
Thousands of fans expressed excitement and pride over Hania Aamir’s presence in the trailer. One popular comment read: “Neeru Bajwa is good, but Hania stole the trailer!”
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the full release of the film, and all eyes are on how Hania’s inclusion and the film itself—will be received in both India and overseas.
