Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially released the provincial merit list under the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 which includes eligible students from higher education institutions across the country including Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam. This initiative is part of the government vision to bridge the digital divide and provide students with access to technology.
Dedicated Portal Activated to Check Eligibility
According to a university spokesperson, a dedicated online portal has been activated where students can check their eligibility status by entering their CNIC number or registration number. In addition, SAU has published the merit list on the following sources:
- Notice Boards of the university
- Official university website
- Certified social media platforms
- Through designated Student Focal Persons (SFPs)
This step has been taken to ensure transparency and easy accessibility in the election process.
Explanation of Merit Categories
A student name may appear under one of the following categories:
Status | Description |
Selected | The student has been deemed eligible and selected for the laptop |
Waiting List | The student meets the criteria but is awaiting final confirmation |
Ineligible | The student has been declared ineligible due to academic or administrative reasons |
Students marked as “Ineligible” are advised to review their academic records and immediately contact their respective focal person.
Last Date for Submission of Objections and Documents
The HEC has set July 4, 2025, as the deadline by which students can file their objections or appeals. For the students:
- You will need to contact your school or university administrator.
- Accurate documentation (transcript, ID card, proof of registration) must be provided.
- All documents must be submitted by the due date to review their application.
Failure to act in a timely manner may result in permanent incapacitation at the current stage.
