The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has revised the schedule for admissions and registration in 11th grade across the province due to the ongoing flood situation. The committee stated that this decision was made to facilitate students and parents so that families affected by the natural disaster do not suffer academic losses.
According to the fresh announcement, students can now submit their admission forms without a late fee until September 29, 2025. Those who fail to register within this time frame will still have the option of applying between September 30 and October 14, 2025 by paying a late fee of Rs. 600 per student.
This schedule will apply to all educational boards in Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan and Gujranwala.
Revised Admission Schedule for 11th Grade
| Phase | Date/Duration | Fee Details |
| Admission without late fee | Until September 29, 2025 | Only normal fee |
| Admission with late fee | September 30–October 14, 2025 | Rs. 600 per student |
Responsibilities of Parents and Institutions
PBCC has clarified that all educational institutions must fulfill the following responsibilities within the specified deadlines:
- Complete online data entry of students.
- Submit the prescribed fee to the boards.
- Send hard copies and original computerized challan forms to the boards.
- Boards have warned that forms submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Flood Situation Behind Decision
This year’s heavy monsoon rains and widespread flooding across the province severely affected schools and students. In several districts of South Punjab, Sargodha and Sialkot divisions, school buildings were damaged and thousands of families were displaced. Under such circumstances, meeting the earlier admission deadlines was nearly impossible.
In an emergency meeting, PBCC unanimously decided to extend the dates so that students would have a fair chance to continue their education.
Reaction from Students and Parents
Students and parents from Lahore, Muzaffargarh and Rahim Yar Khan have welcomed the decision. They said that due to the floods, both financial and logistical challenges had increased but with the extra time, the barrier to admission has been removed.
Education Experts Opinion
According to education experts, the decision is not only beneficial for students but also critical to ensuring continuity of education across the province. Had the dates not been extended, thousands of students would have been deprived of admission until the next academic year. Experts have termed the move a “student-friendly initiative.”
